TaylorMade has launched its new series of
Burner and the Burner TP drivers.
The manufacturer says it is targeting the clubs on players with big swings who yearn for distance.
According to
TaylorMade, who first introduced the Burner series in 1983, the club combines the 2007 Burner's SuperFast technology with the Tour Burner's Dual Crown technology.
Harry Arnett, senior director of
TaylorMade's metalwood category, told World Golf that the new Burners "are an easy-to-swing distance machine, and is a slam-dunk to appeal to every player who's ever swung hard at a golf ball".
During his win at this year's Players Championship, Sergio Garcia used the Tour Burner.
TaylorMade's new r7 Limited driver was promoted at recent Fed-Ex Cup event The Barclays.
David Toms, Mike Weir, Brandt Snedeker and Shane Bertsch all played with the club at the tournament, which was eventually won by Fijian Vijay Singh.
