Features:
- To achieve perfect ball flight and maximum distance for each club, MacGregor has localized the centre of gravity in the ideal position for each loft. It starts out low and deep on the 3-iron for better launch and forgiveness, and progresses higher and closer to the face through the pitching wedge for maximum playability and control.
- Forged from a top quality Carbon Steel. The dense and uniform grain structure makes the M865 irons offer such a unique combination of shot consistency and feel.
- Because long irons and short irons perform different functions, the M685s use two kinds of carbon steel within the set. For 3-6 irons, 4140 carbon steel is used to optimize the hollow body structure for easy high launch and maximum distance. In the 7-PW, a softer 1025 "low-carbon steel" is used in a solid one-piece construction for superb feel and tremendous shot-shaping capabilities.
- In the M685 irons, Tungsten cylinders placed in the rear heel and toe localize the centre of gravity and create optimal launch properties for a higher ball flight. They also heighten the MOI (Moment Of Inertia) of the clubface for greater stability at impact and shot accuracy.
- Fitted with a top quality Step steel shaft.
- Full Set 3-PW.

Needed to change my old set of Wilson Progressive irons (12 years old!) and really fancied the Pi7s. The M685s looked even better and were more forgiving on off-centre hits. Having now played with them for a month, Im sure Ive made the right choice. Tried both shafts but settled on the Rifle (stiff) as the ball flight is much more penetrating. Feel with short irons is excellent. Great service at DG Wythall

Excellent irons.I fancied a changed from my Macgregor PCB Tour forged with I have owned for 6 syears and served me well.Very easy to control and shape with a higher level of forgiveness than my previous irons.Still give a "bladey"appearence from above which I like.Still retained my old 2 iron which doesnt come in the set and prefered my old wedge to the new one however.Would have prefered them to be more chrome looking like my old irons but thats just being pickey! Custom fitted at Cambridge Store who were a delight and even offered me the Rifle shafts which had come into stock after they had set up the Micro step shafted set.Declined this offer as ball flight was almost identical but I felt there was more feel and balance with the stepped shafts.Bargain and Very Pleased.

Bought these from the Doncaster store a couple of weeks ago. Great distance and very easy to control trajectory and shape of shots. Shot 79 first time out with them. Was torn between these and Wilson Pi7s.Made the right choice!
